Affiliate Disclosure
Disclosure: The Business AI Guide is reader-supported. Some links on this site may be affiliate links — if you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Our recommendations are never for sale: no vendor pays for a better verdict, and advertising — not affiliate commissions — is our main income.
Current status: no affiliate links yet
As of the date above, this site contains no affiliate links. The rules below are the standard every guide will follow from the day the first affiliate link appears — they are published now so the standard is public before any money is involved.
How affiliate links will be handled
- Disclosure first. Every page that contains affiliate links will carry a disclosure at the top of the page, before the first link — the same disclosure you see at the top of this page.
- Links are labelled. Affiliate links will carry
rel="sponsored"so search engines and readers can identify them. - UK readers. For visitors in the UK, affiliate content will be labelled “Ad” up front, as UK advertising rules require — the word “affiliate” on its own is not treated as enough.
- Social and promoted posts. Any disclosure in social media or promoted content will come at the start — “#ad” or “Paid partnership” — and affiliate links in posts will carry #affiliate, #AffiliateLink, or a plain sentence saying so. A note in a profile bio alone is not treated as a disclosure.
- No single program dominates. We will not let any one affiliate program account for more than about a third of our affiliate income, so that one program closing or changing its terms cannot break the site.
- Programs are checked. We only join programs we have verified as genuinely open to new publishers, and we apply only after our first guides are live. Programs that are closed to new applicants, or that have no public program, are not used.
What an affiliate link does
When you click an affiliate link, you go to the vendor’s own website and buy there — never on this site. The vendor’s site records the visit (usually with a cookie) and, if you buy within the program’s window, pays us the commission the program promises. The price you pay is the same as if you had gone to the vendor directly.
What affiliate links never do
- They never change what we recommend. A guide’s verdict is written before any affiliate arrangement is considered.
- They never cost you extra.
- They never give the vendor access to your personal data through us — we do not share your data with affiliate programs.
